As a follow up to our Marketing & Communications workshops held in March and in response to demand for the original sessions, MSPV have been able to provide a guided support day for a number of organisations aspiring to improve and accredit their marketing ability.

A number of organisations had expressed the need to have their new knowledge externally recognised, and the accreditation process is one of the activities MSPV has been pleased to offer as a next step.

The follow-up day involved refreshing participants knowledge around the topic in preparation for completing the assessed assignment that would go forward for accreditation. The piece of work was based on applying learning from the initial workshops to the participants' own organisational structures. By making the process relevant and familiar, participants valued the way they were able to make the information gained more usable when implementing their knowledge in the respective enterprises.
Accreditation has benefited six Merseyside organisations, and will go some way in raising their capacity and increasing their abilitiy to tender for public sector contracts.
Barbara Serres of Moving on With Life & Learning commented on the experience:
"Working with MSPV has proved invaluable to MOWLL. To gain so much expertise and knowledge of administrative and marketing systems free of charge is like a dream come true for an organisation as small as we are and working on a very limited budget. Our Strategic, Business and Marketing Planning have been tightened and streamlined and form a valuable tool for the whole team."

The session was hosted by The Riverside Group on 14th July 2008 and tailored to the needs of social enterprises, recognising their unique perspectives in the market. Our partners at Social Enterprise Consultancy & Training (SECT) delivered the highly rated marketing workshops.
